[1307] Jonathan left two sons, George and Thomas, under the guardianship of an uncle, so presumably died after his wife. The uncle appears to have wanted them out of the way in order to gain their inheritances, so shipped them to America. Thomas finally settled at Enfield in 1682 and George was one of the first settlers at New London about 1651. N.B. Shellie and his family are listed in the 1910 federal census in South Pass Precinct, Lancaster Co., NE. "Lincoln Journal Star [Lincoln, NE], 29 December 1945," p. 2: "Shellie A. Jewell, 72, a resident of Lincoln for 23 years, died suddenly Saturday morning at his home, 5637 Morrill. For 16 years he had been a carpenter in the Havelock shops. A native of Firth, he spent all his life there except for the years he lived in Lincoln. He is survived by his wife, Susie; three sons, Alfred, Delmar and Shellie, all of Lincoln; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Doeschot, Panama, Neb., and Mrs. Bertha Koiwlick, Mrs. Gladys Horn, Mrs. Minnie Kallenborn and Mrs. Susie Baker, all of Lincoln; brother, Charles Jewell, Lincoln; and seven grandchildren."

Besides his father and stepmother, John H. and Gertrude Seeley of Sinclair, he is survived by his wife, Louise (Higgins) Seeley of Presque Isle; two sons, Hayden and daughter-in-law, Aurelie Seeley of Presque Isle, and Hal Seeley of Guilford; one daughter, Dilonna and son-in-law, Steve Coran of Williamsport, Pa.; one half brother, Richard Seeley of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Chevonne, Stefanie and Michael; several cousins."
