Mr. Dakin was retired from the U.S. Army as a first sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division. He served two tours in Vietnam, was a member of the American Legion Post No. 233, VFW post No. 4895, Military Order of the Cooties Pup Tent No. 4. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Small Dakin, Clarksville; sons, Ron (Priscilla) Dakin, Clarksville, Richard (Terri) Dakin, Clarksville, Don (Tara) Dakin, Dyersburg; brothers, Arlan Dakin, Swanville, Maine, Leroy Dakin, Brandon, Fla; stepmother, Marion Dakin, Stockton Springs, Maine; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren."

Pinkham; six children, Loretta Huckins and her husband, Herbert, Thurston Pinkham and his wife, Harriett, Evangeline McLain and her husband, Dorward, Jeanne Dow and her husband, Arnold, Richard and his wife, Ann, and Gerald Pinkham, all of Steuben; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins."
