[8650] "The Perry County Times, 10 May 1917," p. 5: "Mary Ann, beloved wife of Abram Bower, died at her home near Falling springs, Tuesday at 7 o'clock from the infirmities of old age, hastened by a fall in October, 1915, by which she broke her right hip, since which she had been practically helpless. The deceased was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Susan (Bernheisel) Dunkelberger and was born in Spring (then Tyrone) township, Sept. 23, 18S6, and at her death was aged 83 years, 7 months and 16 days. Feb 22, 1855, she was united In wedlock with Abram Bower by Rev. Chas. H, Leinbach. From this union six children were born: Alice wife of Samuel Snyder, of this place; Samuel, killed on the railroad at Harrisburg in 188?; Annie N., wife of J. W. Kennedy, of Harrisburg; David L , at present at home; Edgar T., of Center township; Jeremiah, who died In Philadelphia In 1897. Mrs. Bower was the oldest and last of her family. For over 64 years she had been a devoted christian, a member of tbe Mt. Zion Lutheran church, and died in the faith." Mary Ann was confirmed at St. Peter's Church (now known as Mt.
