Ritter, the grocer at 901 North Seventh Street, who was admitted to the Allentown Hospital on Saturday for treatment for uraemic poisoning, and was operated upon on Sunday, expired at the above institution at 1 o'clock this morning," aged 49 years. The deceased was born at Ballietsville. For some years he taught school and later he was connected with the Fuller Engineering Co. of Catasauqua. He removed to Allentown in 1911 and opened a grocery store. The deceased is survived by his father, Thomas Ritter of Slatington; his wife, Maggie J., and the following children: Titus A., Thomas E., Marcus A., Harold V., Dorothy M., Ruth J., Annie E., and Robert E. Ritter. There are also five brothers, Francis, cashier of the Merchants National Bank and Orville J. of this city, C. A. Ritter of Auburn, W. D. Ritter of Slatington and Milton Ritter of Palmerton.
