http://www.luminarium.org/encyclopedia/aylmer.htm offers: "JOHN AYLMER, English divine, was born in the year 1521 at Aylmer Hall, Tivetshail St Mary, Norfolk. While still a boy, his precocity was noticed by Henry Grey, Marquis of Dorset, afterwards Duke of Suffolk, who sent him to Cambridge, where he seems to have become a fellow of Queens' College. About 1541 he was made chaplain to the Duke, and tutor to his daughter, Lady Jane Grey.
His first preferment was to the archdeaconry of Stow, in the diocese of Lincoln, but his opposition in convocation to the doctrine of transubstantiation led to his deprivation and to his flight into Switzerland. While there he wrote a reply to John Knox's famous Blast against the Monstrous Regiment of Women, under the title of An Harborowe for Faithfull and Trewe Subjects, &c., and assisted John Foxe in translating the Acts of the Martyrs into Latin.
On the accession of Queen Elizabeth he returned to England. In 1559 he resumed the Stow archdeaconry, and in 1562 he obtained that of Lincoln. He was a member of the famous convocation of 1562, which reformed and settled the doctrine and discipline of the Church of England. In 1576 he was consecrated Bishop of London, and while in that position made himself notorious by his harsh treatment of all who differed from him on ecclesiastical questions, whether Puritan or Papist. Various efforts were made to remove him to another see.
He is frequently assailed in the famous Marprelate Tracts, and is characterized as "Morrell," the bad shepherd, in Spenser's Shepheard's Calendar (July).
His reputation as a scholar hardly balances his inadequacy as a bishop in the transition time in which he lived. He died in June 1594.

Randle Mainwaring and his descendants· · Randle Mainwaring, son of William and Elizabeth was born abt. 1367 in Over-Peover , Cheshire, England. He married Margery Venables in 1391, the daughter of Hugh and Margery Cotton. He succeeded to the family estates after the death of his brother John, entered the service of King henry IV, and, as a result of an attachment to the court of the Earl of Chester, was in 1405 granted for life the office of Equitator of the Forest of Mara and Mondrem, which tne included much of the Hundred of Nantwich and all of Edisbury. Then, when the Earl succeeded as King Henry V, Randle was granted two parts of the serjeanty of Macclesfield during the minority of John Davenport, whose family held the hereditary serjeanty. Randle died in 1456.

13. Sir John Mainwaring, son of Randle married Margaret Delves. King Henry VI sent him a letter commanding him to deliver to Lord Stanley (his second wife's uncle), persons in custody at the castle at Chester, including Thomas and John Nevill (sons of the Earl of Salisbury), Sir Thomas Harrington of Hornby, his son James Harrington of Brierly, Raufe Rokeby, Thomas Ashton and Robert Evereus, esquires.
14. William Mainwaring, son of John married Ellen Butler, a sister to John Butler of Bewsey night Warrington in Lancashire, and daughter of Sir John Butler. William died in the lifetime of his father.
15. John Mainwaring, of Over Peover, Cheshire, England, son of William and Ellen married Maud Legh, a widow and daughter of Robert Legh and Isabel Stanley. He died on July 8, 1495.
16. Sir John Mainwaring, Knight, of Over Peover, Cheshire, son of John and Maud was born abt 1471. He Married Katherine Honford. John died in March of 1515/16. His alabaster monument is a representation of a knight in plate armor, with his wife by his side, and over their legs and knees is a scroll depicting their fivteen children.

13. William Mainwaring, "the Good", of Ightfield, Shropshire, England, son of Randle and Margery was born abt. 1396 in Over-Peover, Cheshire, England. He married Margaret Warren, daughter of John Warren and Matilda Cheney. William died in 1499.
14. Thomas Mainwaring, son of William and Margaret was born abt. 1450 in Ightfield, Shropshire, England. He married Jane De Sutton, daughter of Sir John De Sutton and Elizabeth Berkeley. He was tenant of two copyhold estates in Edstaston and Cotton (in Wem parish), county Salop. Thomas died in 1508. I also descend from their daughter Cicely Mainwaring who married John Cotton.
15. Sir John Mainwaring, son of Thomas and Jane was born abt. 1478. He married Joan Lacon, daughter of Sir Richard Lacon and Margery Horde. He was among those who entered France on June 16, 1513; he was captain in the army of King Henry VIII and was knighted at Lille. He was the heir of his uncle George Mainwaring.
16. Sir Richard Mainwaring, Knight, of Ightfield, Shropshire, son of John and Joan married Dorothy Corbet, daughter of Sir Robert Corbet and Elizabeth Vernon. He was knighted by September 28, 1536, when he took a lease from John, late Abbott, and the convent of St. Mary, Combermere, Chester. He served as Commissioner of Peace in May 1538, was among the knights who welcomed Anne of Cleves to England on January 3, 1539/40, and served as Sheriff of Shropshire in 1544 and at other times. He died on September 30, 1558 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.
17. Sir Arthur Mainwaring, son of Richard and Dorothy married (#18 above) Margaret Mainwaring, daughter of Randall and Elizabeth Brereton. Knighted at Berwick by John, Earl of Warwick, Lieutenant of the King's Army, in 1547 he was probably engaged in the campaign which led to the battle of Pinkie. He was Member of Parliament for Shropshire in 1558, Commissioner of Peace in 1561/2, and Sheriff in 1563 and 1577. In 1577 he was a member of the Royal Commission of Musters, responsible for seeing that all the men of Shropshire aged between 16 and 60 were "armed, trained and inspected."
18. Mary Mainwaring, daughter of Arthur and Margaret was born abt. 1541 in Ightfield, Shropshire, England. She married Richard Cotton on Janruary 6, 1559/60. I descend from their daughter Frances Cotton who married George Abell.

And he had also (with others) the custody of the manor of Kerincham in Cheshire, 13 Hen. IV [1411-12]. Hepler, residing on the Neiswender farm at Pitman, died of acute dilatation of the heart. He had done his usual day's work about the farm, and came to the house when darkness fell. He was sitting with the family at the table at 5:30 o'clock, apparently in normal health, when he collapsed and fell to the floor. They ran to his assistance and did what they could for him. A doctor was summoned, but long before he could make the trip to the farm house the man was dead. He was aged 56 years, 8 months and 24 days and is survived by three brothers, Henry and Emanuel of Pitman, and William of Gordon. Two sisters reside in Ohio. He was unmarried and was employed on the farm where he died."

[2672] In 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodri_Molwynog_ap_Idwal offers: "Rhodri ap Idwal (c. 690-c. 754; reigned from c. 720) (Latin: Rodericus; English: Roderick), also known as Rhodri Molwynog ('the Bald and Gray'), and by some contemporary historians as Rhodri I, was a king of Gwynedd, also called King of the Britons by the Annals of Wales. The son of Idwal Iwrch and his wife, Princess Angharad of Brittany, comparatively little is known of Rhodri's life or accomplishments. There is even some debate as to when he actually assumed the throne of Gwynedd, with the years 712, 720, 722 or 730 being the most probable candidates. Legend suggests that Rhodri successfully invaded and occupied Dumnonia for a time, before being expelled by the Saxons. This story may indeed be apocryphal, and others have suggested that Rhodri instead focused on strengthening the island of Anglesey, which, by this time, had become the stronghold of the kingdom. This argument is based on the understanding that Æthelbald, king of Mercia and self-styled Bretwalda, was continuing to press the kingdoms of Wales, and that Rhodri would have been far more likely to have been forced to adopt a defensive, rather than offensive, policy in dealing with incursions from Mercia and other Anglo-Saxon principalities. Rhodri married Margaret ferch Duplory, an Irish princess, who bore him a son by the name of Cynan Dindaethwy. Because of the limited reliable information surrounding this period in Welsh history, it is not entirely clear who succeeded Rhodri upon his death, although the most likely candidate seems to be Caradog ap Meirion, a distant cousin, and not his son, who would ascend to the throne only after the death of Caradog."
