[9446] Roy is son of Samuel Gordon and Catherine Elizabeth Leonard. The News-Sun [Newport, PA], 28 July 1977, p. 2: Roy S. Gordon, 71, of Millerstown RD 1, died last Tuesday at his home. He was a retired employee of Murray's Garage, New Bloomfield, and a member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church and the church council, Newport RD. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Esther S. Gordon; two daughters. Mrs. Virginia Viggio, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mrs. Peggy F. Sowers, of Millerstown RD 1; a sister Mrs. Blanche Wertz, of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, and a great-grand son. Services were held Saturday at the funeral home in Loysville, with the Rev. Paul W. Case, his pastor, officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.

[40077] "The Perry County Democrat, 4 December 1912," p. 3: "Elizabeth Kough Warner died of dropsy and old age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa Salsbury, near Bloserville, Cumberland county, November 27, aged within a few days of 82 years. She was the widow of Henry Warner, who preceded her to the spirit world eight years ago. She had been a resident of Perry county until after the death of her husband, since which she made her home with her children, being in Cumberland part of the time. She was the mother of ten children, nine of whom survive. One sister. Mrs. Fannie Kistler, of Blain, is also living. She was a consistent member of the Bethel church which she attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She was a good, kind mother and neighbor. Her remains were buried on Saturday in the cemetery at St. Peter's church, Spring township, this county."
