[21421] http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/JERUSALEM.htm offers: "Baudouin of Jerusalem (1161-Mar 1185, bur Jerusalem, Church of the Holy Sepulchre). William of Tyre names him and records his parentage, specifying that he was his parents' younger child born before his father's accession. He caught leprosy while a child. He succeeded his father in 1174 as Baudouin IV 'le Lépreux' King of Jerusalem, crowned 15 Jul 1174 by the Patriarch of Jerusalem. Raymond Count of Tripoli, as King Baudouin's nearest male relative, was installed as regent in Autumn 1174, after prevarications from Milon de Plancy Seneschal of Jerusalem, who was murdered soon after. Count Raymond was supported by the more traditional elements of society in Palestine and the Knights Hospitallers, and remained as regent until 1177 when the king came of age. In [1176/77], King Baudouin appointed Joscelin [III] de Courtenay as seneschal, supported by the more progressive elements in Palestine centred around recent arrivals and the Knights Templar. 'Balduinus . . . in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex sextus' donated property to the church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem by charter dated 1177 which names 'pater meus rex Amalricus'. He appointed Amaury de Lusignan as Constable of Jerusalem in 1181. After leading a campaign against Damascus in Dec 1182, King Baudouin fell ill at Nazareth and was obliged to appoint his brother-in-law Guy de Lusignan as regent of Jerusalem, although the king retained personal control over the city of Jerusalem. King Baudouin deposed Guy from the regency 23 Mar 1183 after a quarrel. King Baudouin appointed his nephew as his heir and resumed control of the government himself, although by that time he could neither move without help nor sign his name. Before he died, he appointed Raymond Count of Tripoli as regent for his heir."
[25170] The unverified OneWorldTree states Bridget is daughter of James Pryce (d. 1642) and Elizabeth Wynn (b. 1570). Ancestry.com offers: "Price Name Meaning - Welsh: Anglicized form of Welsh ap Rhys 'son of Rhys' (see Reece). This is one of the commonest of Welsh surnames. It has also been established in Ireland since the 14th century, where it is sometimes a variant of Bryson. English: the name is also found very early in parts of England far removed from Welsh influence (e.g. Richard Prys, Essex 1320), and in such cases presumably derives from Middle English, Old French pris 'price', 'prize', perhaps as a metonymic occupational name for a fixer of prices."
