He was born Sept 9, 1918, in Ashland County to Melvin C. and Laura May Rosebough Helbert The retired dairy farmer and wood worker lived in the Ashland area all his life. He belonged to the Synagogue Church of Christ where he was a member of the property management commission, an elder, a board member, and a member of various committees. He was on the board of directors of the Akron Milk Producers and various other committees. He was 10-year board member of the Production Credit Association. Surviving are his wife, H. Marguerite, whom he married Sept. 16, 1939; four daughters, Mrs. Laura Luhring of West Salem, Ohio; Mrs. Kathryn Ann Heerkens of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Sharon Bender of Lancaster, Pa., and Mrs. Rebecca Helbert-Petersen of Milan, Ohio; two sons, Benton L Helbert and Phillip R., both of Jeromesville; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Naomi Reiter of Mansfield, Mrs. Mary Barr of Ashland and Gloria June Helbert of Ashland; and one brother, Raymond W. Helbert of Mansfield. Mr. Helbert was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Calling hours are tonight from 7 to 9 in the Heyl Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m by the Rev. Paul Gnagy and the Rev. Bill Brown. Burial will be in the Hayesville Cemetery."

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 13 May 1999, p. 23: "Sarasota, Fla. - Clifford 'Kip' Landry, 80, died March 10, 1999 at his home after a long illness. He was born in Dexter, the son of Napoleon and Victoria (Langlois) Landry. He was a resident of Maine and Connecticut for most of his life. Mr Landry was prominent in Boy Scout activities receiving the Eagle Scout award with three Palms in 1938 and serving as a scoutmaster for 25 years. His accomplishments in the BSA Katahdin Council District of Maine were noted throughout his life. He was educated in N.H. Fay High School and served as a tool and dye apprentice for the Fayscott Machine Corp. during the early years of World War II, until he enlisted in the US Army. After the war he owned and operated an oil and gasoline business in Maine until he moved to Collinsville, Conn. where he became ombudsman for Pratt & Whitney in W. Hartford, Conn. Upon his retirement the company honored him for his symbol of recognition os the corporation's 'public relations man or the year'. He was active in the Kiwanis Club, American Legion VFW in Dexter, and very active in many organizations in his community in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; three sons, Michael and his wife Linda Landry, Stephen and his wife Nanette Landry, all of S. Windsor, Conn., and Mark Orintas of Bridgeport, Conn.; a daughter, Michele and her husband, Michael Schreiber of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, Horace Landry of Bonita Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Simone Pooler of Colon, Mich. and Rose Burda of Auburn, Mass.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two special nephews, Roger Nolet of E. Hartford, Conn. and Larry Nolet of S. Windsor, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Jane Houston of Milo in 1972."
