He later went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Technical Education from The University of Akron. He was a loving son, father, and uncle. Larry was exceptionally generous with his time and talents, and was often called upon to help family and friends with projects, including anything from roofing, remodeling, painting, landscaping, car repairs, and 'stuth' like that. Larry is survived by his devoted mother, Delores Lay; caring daughters, Shannon (Todd) Hone of Medical Lake, Wash, and Rachelle (Charlie) Hughes of Akron; brother, Martin Lay of Columbus; and sister, Lisa Ewing of Uniontown; eight grandchildren, Skylar, Jett, and Aurora Hone, Alyssa Bauer, Madison, Jackson, Charlie, and Delaney Hughes; nieces and nephews, Jesse (Laurel Mahon) Ewing, Casey (Amber Creel) Ewing, Melissa Ewing-Andrews, Pearl (Bryon) Colley, Portia Simon (Chuck Baker), and Jacob Lay. He was preceded in death by his father, C. William Lay; loving son, Lawrence Damon Lay; brother, Cristin Lay; nephew, Scottie Ewing; and sister-in-law, Chia Lay. Larry will be dearly missed by close extended family, Carolyn and Ray, and friends, Randy, Dani, and Bobby, as well as his cherished cat, Lucky Lady."

Linnis was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Levant, the daughter of Alton and Marion (Nowell) Mayhew. She was educated in Levant schools. 'Lynn' worked at Dexter Shoe, Newport, for 17 years. She loved working in her flower gardens, doing puzzles, going to yard sales, sewing quilts and making hats for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, George T. Bushey Sr.; their children, Thomas Bushey Jr. of Carmel, Robin and her husband, Joe McClain, of Biddeford, Kelley Bragg of Winslow, Brinda Bushey and Terry Hyson of Etna, Wendy Lawler and her husband, Mike, of Carmel, George Lawson of Etna, and Daryl Bushey Smith and Karyn of Carmel; her sister, Avis Shaw; 15 special grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Lynn loved her special companion, Mo-Mo the dog. She was predeceased by a son, David Bushey; and her brother, Robert Mayhew."

He was born in Bangor October 26, 1922 the son of Elmer M. and Pearl (Jenkins) Rogers. Sumner grew up in Orrington and was a graduate of Bangor High School Class of 1940. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII. Sumner later moved to Hampden where he had been a resident for over fifty years and was a member of the Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church. Sumner built the Park Rest Motel in Hampden in the 1950's and was in the motel business for 34 years. He also worked as a salesman for R.B. Dunning for 33 years. Sumner was a lifetime member of Mystic Masonic Lodge #65 A.F. & A.M. of Hampden and a member of Anah Temple Shrine. He was a Square Dance Caller and instructor as well as a Line Dancer and teacher. Sumner enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Callers Association for 40 years. Special thanks to all the many friends following through 40 years of good time dancing. He will be remembered as a loving, husband, father, brother, grandfather and a friend to many. Sumner is survived by his wife, of 27 years, Velma, of Hampden, three daughters; Diana Marocco, of Syracuse, New York, Pamela Jean Wood, of Hampden and Lorraine Church, of Birch Harbor, two brothers, his twin brother Selden Rogers of Seattle, Washington and Clayton A. Rogers of Brewer, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, special cousins, Julian Jones of Bangor and Polly Otis of Orrington and a special nephew who traveled from Rathdrum, Idaho to be with Sumner, Roy Hostetler.
