[9310] "The News [Newport, PA], 8 January 1976," p. 2: "Loy A. Whitekettle of 107 E. Pine St., Boalsburg, formerly of Newport, died at Centre Crest, Bellefonte, Monday, December 29, 1975. He was born Sept. 26, 1902, in Newport, the son of Charlps S. and Margaret Loy Whitekettle. His wife, the former Elizabeth Myers, survives with one sister, Miss Pauline Whitekettle of Newport. A graduate of Newport High School, he graduated in 1924 from Penn State in the School of Forestry. He was employed with the Federal Government in Civil Service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Boalsburg and Tau Phi Delta fraternity. He was an honorary member of Boalsburg Fire Company and the Boalsburg Lions Club. Funeral services were held at the Koch Funeral Home, State College, with the Rev. Robert L. Rohrbaugh officiating. Burial was in the Boalsburg Cemetery." Loy m. June 6, 1929 Elizabeth C.
