[56085] Find A Grave memorial 70657372 offers: "Veteran of the American Revolution -- He was among the first to volunteer at the opening of the War, enlisting May 15,1775, under Capt.Ely Cook in the 6th Continental troops commanded by Col.Samuel H. Parsons, and was discharged Dec. 18, 1775. He enlisted again in Capt.Martin Catlin's company, under the same Colonel, and served nine months in 1776. He also served in Col.Erastus Wolcott's regiment, under Capt.Martin Kirtland, during the vear 1777. He was granted a pension Apr. 20, 1818. He was shoemaker by trade, and resided at Greenfield,MA until 1804, when he removed to Colrain, MA. Son of David Cone Jr and Temperance (Pratt) Cone. He married Sarah Cook on Dec 6,1786. Children: Robert Cone Jr, Jesse Cone, Anna Cone, Temperance Cone, Edmund Cone, Joel Cone, Sarah Cone, William Grinnell Cone, John Cone, and Orrasville Fowler Cone."
