She is survived by a daughter, Dolores Spirit of Annapolis, Md.; a son, Robert R. Wisotzkey of Carlisle; three grandchildren and a great-grandchildren."

Ancestry.com offers: "Decker Name Meaning - German: occupational name for a roofer (thatcher, tiler, slater, or shingler) or a carpenter or builder, from an agent derivative of Middle High German decke covering, a word which was normally used to refer to roofs, but sometimes also to other sorts of covering; modern German Decke still has the twin senses ceiling and blanket."
[52804] Bernice's obituary: "Cherryfield - Bernice R. Brooks, 67, passed away Nov. 7, 2006, at Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport, after a brief illness. She was born June 14, 1939, in Old Town, the daughter of the late Alonzo Farnsworth Sr. and Gladys (Saindon) Farnsworth. Brenice retired from Jasper Wyman and Son in 2005, after many years of service. She was well known for her picking and selling of crabmeat over her lifetime. Bernice loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, as well with her cat, Leo. She also enjoyed knitting. She is survived by four children, Joni Perry and her husband, Lewis, of Steuben, Kenny Brooks of Cherryfield, Kevin Brooks of Cherryfield and Kim Smith and her husband, Dwayne, of Columbia Falls; grandchildren, Gary and companion Tricia, Chrissy and fiance', Shawn, Lewis 'Skybo', Eric and Cameron, Adam and wife, Kadie, Erin, and Derek and Devin; great-grandchildren, Torre, Ally and MaKenzi; siblings, Colleen Urquhart and husband Orrin, of Columbia and Paul Farnsworth and wife, Jeanne, of Jonesport; many nieces, nephews and other dear family. Bernice will be fondly remembered by many friends as 'half-pint'. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Brooks Sr.; daughter, Linda; special companion, Jim; two brothers, Buddy and George Farnsworth."
