[51506] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 31 December 2015": "Birch Harbor - Herbert Edgar Chipman, age 78, passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2015, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with his niece, Nancy, by his side. He was born July 8, 1937, in Milbridge, a son of the late Edgar E. Chipman and Minnie M. (Beal) Chipman. Herb was a lobster fisherman and spent much of his career fishing out of Bunkers Harbor on his boat, Minnie M. Even though Herb didnt have children of his own, he was blessed with two very special people that he treated and loved as his own; nephew, Jon Chipman and niece, Nicole Thomas. Herb enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, ice fishing. Survivors include his brothers, George W. Chipman and wife, Rebecca S.; Albert Chipman and wife, Betty; nephew Jon Chipman and his family; niece Nicole Thomas and her family; sisters-in-law, Annabelle and Alice; his special friend, Bonnie; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was predeceased by both of his parents, Edgar E. Chipman and Minnie M. (Beal) Chipman; brothers Roger, Avery, Leamon, Vint, Maynard and sister Mildred."

Death resulted from a complication. Schwalm was a native of Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, and began farming at Klingerstown as a young man. He became one of the most prominently known men of that sector. He was a member of the Himmell Lutheran Church at Rebuck, Masons at Herndon, and Odd Fellows at Klingerstown.
