[47788] "Dennis-Yarmouth Register, 16 December 1966," p. 15: "Beginning in the late 1940s, Ray and Ella Grindell were the original owners who developed, started, and operated the longstanding Grindell Oceanview Mobile Home Park on Old Wharf Road in Dennisport; a popular summer destination for many seasonal visitors over the years. Funeral services were held at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, Harwich Port, Saturday for Mr. Ray W. Grindell, 77, who died in Largo, Fla. A resident of Old Wharf Rd., Dennis Port, he was the husband of Mrs. Ella B. (Bryant) Grindell. A native of South Penobscot, Me., he was the son of the late Norris L. and Lizzie (Varnum) Grindell. He was a department head of the George E. Keith Shoe Company in Brockton where he resided more than 40 years. Following his retirement, he moved to the Cape where he was a proprietor of a trailer park on Old Wharf Rd. He was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port and the Dennis Port Village Improvement Club. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Wilbur Grindell of Dennis Port and Clyde Grindell of Framingham; a daughter, Mrs. Maida Swanson of Brockton; a brother, Frank Grindell of Brockton; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Leach of South Penobscot, Me. and Mrs. Olive H. Leach of Hamilton; 14 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Swan Lake Cemetery, Dennis Port with Rev. Charles H. Monbleau officiating."
