[6544] Dennis r. in west Penobscot, ME, behind his parents' home, up The Mill Lane. "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 21 July 2021": "Penobscot - Dennis 'Skip' Farnham Jr., 'loving partner and devoted daddy, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 15, after a valiant battle for his life. Skip was a gentle soul who cared deeply for those he loved. Skip was never quick to anger and was always there to lend a hand when someone needed help. Fiercely independent and you might say stubborn, he was the last person who would, himself, ask for help. He always wanted to be busy. If there was daylight, he felt he should be accomplishing something, whether it was operating heavy equipment, especially showing off his skills at the excavator controls, cutting firewood or tinkering on something that needed fixing. His favorite recreational activity was being a member of the Bucksport Bowling League for many, many years. Skip loved his daughters and as often as he could, he would travel the state to their swim and gymnastics meets or to the agricultural fairs in which they showed cattle. Skip had a soft spot for animals and spoiled them rotten, as his little Pen-Pen and 'fur-grandson,' Remmy, would readily agree. He often said he had the best life growing up where he did and had a life full of adventure/fun with his crew socializing and driving around the streets of Castine, sometimes even causing a ruckus or two, which might have necessitated a game of hide-and-seek! He has left a huge hole in our hearts and will be missed greatly by a multitude of people from all over Hancock County and beyond. Skip was born in Castine on May 3, 1961, to Dennis and Ruth (Arey) Farnham. Skip is survived by his partner Jody Reynolds of Penobscot; his two daughters, Bryce Farnham and her fiancé Jon Emerson of Penobscot and Kylie Farnham of Thomaston; his three sisters, Teresa and Kevin Higgins of Stockton Springs, Debbie and Roger Brown of Prospect and Linda and Rick Gray of Penobscot; several nieces and nephews; and a huge circle of lifelong friends, more like family, from the Castine and Penobscot area. Skip was predeceased by both of his loving and supportive parents, which affected him deeply in recent years."
