[51826] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 15 May 2007, p. 17: "Deer Isle - Maurice 'Cookie' E. Barbour, 80, passed away May 14, 2007 after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 30, 1926 in Chelsea, Mass., the son of the late Albert R. and Rose (Haskell) Barbour. He attended Deer Isle schools. He served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. Maurice married Ardelle Bray in 1950. He worked for Barter Lumber Co. for 40 years until his retirement. Maurice was a member of the American Legion Post No. 102 for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 122 for 45 years. Maurice enjoyed gardening and playing cribbage. He will also be remembered for being an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching football and basketball. He is survived by his three daughters, Rose Mann and husband, Lyman, of Surry, Arlene Gaudy and husband, John, of Wilmington, N.C., and Susan Dunham and husband, Kevin, of Townsend Mass.; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maurice was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years, Ardelle; a daughter, Beverly A. Beal; and a brother, Charles E. Barbour." Maurice grave marker includes "COX US Navy World War II". He is son of Albert Richardson Barbour (1890-1956) & Rose Adelita Haskell (1892-1962).

[1580] Matilda is said to be daughter of Arnulf de Hesdin, Seigneur de Hesdin (France), and wife Ameline. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernulf_de_Hesdin remarks: "Matilda married Patrick de Cadurcis, Anglicised as Chaworth. His family was traced to castle near Le Mans by Round, who remained doubtful whether Matilda really was a daughter of Ernulf and Emmelina. However, the couple inherited a substantial part of Ernulf's Domesday estates. In the early 12th century the couple gave a church at Toddington, Bedfordshire to the Abbey of St Pierre de la Couture. They named Ernulf de Hesdin as one of the spiritual beneficiaries, but referred to him one who held their estates before them, rather than specifying him as Matilda's father."
