[47886] Sarah is daughter of Vespasian Carter (1802-1859) & Abigail Hamilton (1808-1890, m. 19 October 1826 in Blue Hill, Hancock Co., ME). Sarah's obituary: "South Blue Hill - It is with sorrow that we learned of the death of Mrs. Sarah Closson of Bluehlll, which occurred on the 18th at Bangor where she went for treatment short time ago. She was the daughter of Vespasion and Abagail Carter, former residents of this place, and was one of a family of ten children, all of whom grew to manhood and womanhood. Now there is only two survivors, Mrs. Eunice M. Carter of Campobello, and Mrs. Adella N. Ferrin of this place. She leaves one daughter of Bluehill, Mrs. C. A. Gray, to mourn her loss."
