Born in Akron, Mr. Briner lived in Mogadore most of his life. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 2001. Keith was a member of the Mogadore Fire Department for 24 years where he served as Fire Chief from 1983 through 1992. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Briner, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marilyn; sons, Brook (Paula) Briner, Tom Briner, and Brian Moore; daughters, Julie (Scott) Estes, Tina Moore, Holly (Jay) Milush, Terri (David) Simpson, Michelle Lorenzo (Shaun) and Kristi Moore (Greg); grandchildren, Douglas, Miranda, Nichole (Nicholas), Kali, Holli, Lizzie, Robbie, Ali, Ryan, Maddy, and Josie; great-grandchild, Kian; sisters, Nancy (Larry) Marmaduke and Karen Mann; nieces and nephews, Erik, Alesha, and Tony, and many other loving relatives and friends. . . . John had organized and drilled companies for the service in the Civil War and was called Capt. King. John and Mary had 12 children."
