[37119] For Hardman ancestry, see http://hackerscreek.com/norman/HARDMAN.htm. Thomas and Irene's son, Thomas, wrote: "Dad passed in Pasadena, California, on February 15 2012, six months to the day after Mom departed. His health had never been particularly good since the late 1950s, when he had suffered a major heart attack. Not given much of a chance, at the time, for long-term survival, his health and the state of medical care were linked thereafter in a precarious dance. He kept abreast of the latest advances in medicine and was an early recipient of such measures as balloon-angioplasty, implantation of arterial stents, and comparable measures. Yet by the time he reached end-of-life, he had been in and out of care for years and was not particularly alert by the time his children came for their final visit. How different from the proud Veteran and often-troubled man who raised us. He was memorialized with honor after cremation in a dignified service at Riverside Veteran's, survived by his wife Sally and her adult children, and by his own children with our Mom."
