[19323] Henry II m. Isabelle, Queen of Jerusalem and daughter of Almaric I, and had Philippa and Alix. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/CHAMPAGNE%20NOBILITY.htm offers: "The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names 'Henricus et Theobaldus' as sons of 'comes Henricus Trecensis' & his wife. William of Tyre (Continuator) names him and specifies that he was nephew of Philippe II King of France. He succeeded his father in 1181 as Henri II Comte de Champagne et de Brie. He ruled under the regency of his mother during his minority 1181-1186. He left on the Third Crusade and was in command of the siege operations at Acre in 1190. After the murder of Corrado di Monferrato, Comte Henri hurried to Tyre, where he was acclaimed as the suitable candidate to marry Corrado's widow the heiress of the kingdom of Jerusalem, and within two days his betrothal was announced. He succeeded in 1192 as Henri King of Jerusalem, by right of his wife, but was never crowned king. Together with Richard I King of England, he signed a five year peace treaty with Saladin 2 Sep 1192, under which the coastal towns as far south as Jaffa were ceded to the Christians who were also given the right to visit the holy places in Jerusalem. He appointed Jean of Ibelin as Constable of Jerusalem in 1194, considering that Amaury de Lusignan had forfeited the post after being arrested for supporting the Pisan revolt in Tyre. Following the succession of Amaury de Lusignan as Lord of Cyprus in 1194, the two parties planned an alliance, sealed by the betrothal of Amaury's three young sons to Comte Henri's three young daughters. Comte Henri died after accidentally falling through a window in his palace at Acre. The necrology of Sens cathedral records the death 'VIII Id Sep' of 'Henricus comes Campanie'. Betrothed (1179) to Isabelle de Hainaut, daughter of Baudouin V Comte de Hainaut [later Baudouin VIII Count of Flanders] & his wife Marguerite de Flandres [later Marguerite I Ctss of Flanders] (Valenciennes Apr 1170-Paris 15 Mar 1190, bur Notre Dame, Paris). The Chronicon Hanoniense records the betrothal in 1179 of 'Elizabeth filia comitis Hanoniensis' and 'Henrico filio comitis Trecensis'. Betrothed (1181, contract broken [1187]) to Yolande de Flandre, daughter of Baudouin VIII Count of Flanders [Baudouin V Comte de Hainaut] & his wife Marguerite Ctss of Flanders ([1175]-Constantinople 24 or 26 Aug 1219). The Chronicon Hanoniense records the marriage in 1181 of 'Yolandem Balduini comitis Hanoniensis filiam' and 'Henricus primus comitis Campanensis filius', but this was presumably only a betrothal as such a marriage is unrecorded elsewhere. According to Gade, Henri II Comte de Champagne was still betrothed to a daughter of Baudouin V Comte de Hainaut when his betrothal to Ermesinde de Namur was arranged. Presumably this was Yolande. Betrothed (1187, broken 1190) to Ermesinde de Namur, daughter of Henri 'l'Aveugle' Comte de Luxembourg & his second wife Agnes van Geldern (Jul 1186-17 Feb 1247). This betrothal was arranged by Henri Comte de Namur et de Luxembourg in order to guarantee a suitably strong protector for his infant daughter in light of his dispute with Baudouin V Comte de Hainaut regarding the eventual succession to his counties, but the arrangement was discontinued after the 1190 imperial decision in favour of Comte Baudouin. m (5 May 1192) as her third husband, Isabelle of Jerusalem, widow firstly of Honfroy [IV] of Toron, and secondly of Corrado Marchese di Monferrato, daughter of AMAURY I King of Jerusalem & his second wife Maria Komnene (1172-[May 1206]). The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names 'Isabella' as wife of 'comes Campaniensis Henricus...comes et princeps...in Acra'. She married fourthly (Apr/Oct 1198) Amaury King of Cyprus and Jerusalem, and was crowned [Jan] 1198 at Acre as Isabelle Queen of Jerusalem with her fourth husband." [18844] http://xenia.media.mit.edu/~kristin/fambly/Learned/SarahLearned.html reports: "The Ewer family came over on the James, Mr. John May, master. Passengers on this trip embarked in London, Middlesex, England from 19 June-13 July. The Ewer family is first on the manifest and is listed as Thomas Ewer, tailor, 40; Sara Ewer, 28; Elizabeth Ewer, 4; Thomas Ewer, 1.5. They settled in Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA where Thomas Ewer co-owned with Thomas Squire a 10-acre lot at Mystic side of Joseph Hubbard; and another of same lots in 1637. Sarah was admitted to the church at Charlestown on 12d:10m(December):1635/6 and Thomas was admitted to the church at Charlestown on 8d:11m(January):1635/6. He made Freeman on 3 March 1635/6 -- the first in a sequence of three Charlestown men to take the Oath on that date. Sarah must have been a strong, savvy woman, for on 4 December 1638, Ewar was allowed executrix of her husband, Thom[as] Ewar, deceased. Thus, in the 1638 Charlestown Book Of Possessions, Sarah was listed as the owner of 11 lots: a house in Middle Row, right next to the Market Place and Dock Lane; 3 roods in East Field with a house; 1.5 acres in High Field; 2 acres at the South Meade; 6.25 cow commons; 8 acres in Line Field; 5 acres in the Mystic Marshes; 5 acres of woods by the driftway; another 5 acres of woods near the driftway towards the North River; 25 acres of woods near the common and Long Meade; and 60 acres in Rock Field. In 1639, Sarah Ewer, widow, sole executrix of Thomas Ewer, deceased, bargained and sold unto Francis Willoughby of Charltowne, one dwelling house, with a garden plat, situate in the middle row, butting south and west upon the market place. Sarah either had moved or then moved to Barnstable, Barnstable co., MA, where she married Thomas Lothrop. Sarah was admitted to the church at Charlestown on 12d:10m(December):1635/6. . . . On 13 January 1623/4 when Sarah was 16, she first married Thomas Ewer, in St. Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey, Surrey, England. Thomas was born in 1593 in Strood, Kent, England and was baptized there on 10 March 1592/3. He died in Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA in 1638; he was 45. Actually, he died sometime after 5 June 1638 -- when his name appears in the records -- and before 20 August 1638. Variations on his surname include Ewer, Ewre and Ewar. Thomas lost his first wife and all three children by her -- presumably to illness -- before he married Sarah."

[40719] An unverified file in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "When Solomon Stroh was born on June 13, 1825, in New York, his father, Jonathan, was 30 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 28. He married Mary Magdalene Zimmerman on September 12, 1850. They had eight children in 18 years. He died on April 12, 1898, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, at the age of 72, and was buried there." "The Daily Item [Sunbury, PA]. 12 April 1898," p. 1: "Solomon Stroh expired suddenly at his blacksmith shop on Chestnut street shortly before 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. He had been in fairly good health all winter until about a week ago. Since then he bad been complaining somewhat but he went about his work as usual. Tuesday after dinner he returned to his shop and when his son Samuel came in he found him sitting on a chair and complaining of severe pain in the chest. Several physicians were quickly summoned. They did all in their power for the sufferer but of no avail. Solomon Stroh was a good man and was universally honored and respected. For more than a half century he had been one of the pillars of Zion's Lutheran church, serving as deacon and elder for more than forty years and librarian in the Sunday school about the same length of time. He had lived more than the allotted three score years and ten - he would have been 73 years of age in June - the greater part of his life in Sunbury. He will be greatly missed in his church, his Sunday school, in the business world and in the family circle. Mr. Stroh was born in that part of Upper Augusta now included in Rush township. At Danville he learned the blacksmith trade and in 1847 or 1848 came to Sunbury to work for the late George Zimmerman, Sr., in the shop on Chestnut street. Later he married a daughter of Mr. Zimmerman and succeeded his father-in-law in the business. His survived by his widow and five children Samuel, Jeremiah, Will and Misses Stella and Miriam. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community."

[51410] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 30 June 2015": "Ellsworth - Joan Willey Tucker joined her family in heaven Sunday morning, June 28, 2015, while daughters Persis and Stacy held her hands until Joans last breath on Earth. Joan was born on Easter morning, March 27, 1932, in Milbridge to the late Lawrence C. Willey Sr. and Persis Morrison Willey. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, James F. and Nettie Colson Morrison, after Joans mother passed away unexpectedly. Her 65-year love story with her husband, L. Lionell Tucker, started when he drove his car up on the sidewalk and asked her out on a date one evening after she worked at Kennedy Pharmacy. They got engaged shortly after Joan graduated from Milbridge High School and were married on Sept. 28, 1950. They moved to Northeast Harbor in the mid-1950s to raise their family and to work for summer residents including Mrs. Flagler Harris followed by Henry F. and Penelope Harris. When asked what brought her joy, she always answered 'my family,' including children Persis Tucker Jordan and husband William 'Bill' Jordan of Machias, Russell Tucker and wife, Alice, Ann Tucker of Trenton and their youngest daughter, Stacy Helen Tucker-Stanley, and husband Anthony 'Tony' Stanley Jr. of greater Portland. They were blessed with six grandchildren, Shawn, Britt and Heather, Willey Jordan of Brewer, special granddaughter Nettie-Kate Jordan of Machias, predeceased by grandson Joshua Sprague, plus five great-grandchildren. Her siblings include James 'Jimmy' Willey and wife Mary of Bellingham, Mass., Jeanne Willey of Sullivan, and predeceased by twin brothers Alonzo and Lawrence Willey. Joan was known for her wholesome cooking and the Union Church suppers always sold out when her special Aunt Helen Morrison Dodge and she cooked. They cleaned summer cottages and served formal dinners together for Mrs. Vincent Astor, Mrs. John Pierrepont and the Halls."
