See "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 213. http://www.geneajourney.com/ros.html reports: "His parentage is unknown, but he probably derived his surname from Ros in Holderness, Yorkshire. He was steward (dapifer) of the Count of Aumale, lord of Holderness. Piers gave land in Gilling near Helmsley, and the church, to St. Mary's Abbey in Yorkshire." Regarding his wife, this site reports: "Adeline was the youngest of three sisters and coheirs of Walter Espec, Lord of Helmsley, who was founder of three monasteries, Kirkham (1122) and Rievaulx (1131), both in Yorkshire, as well as Wardon in Bedfordshire (1134)."

[51409] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 30 June 2015": "Lincolnville - Susan Herrick Sanchez died peacefully on Fathers Day, June 21, 2015. Susan was surrounded by her loving family in her last days after a heroic battle with multiple cancers. Born Susan Esther Herrick, on July 28, 1959, Eastern Memorial Hospital, in Ellsworth, Susan was the third of three children to Hildred and Albert Herrick. She attended the University of Maine and studied business administration. In 1996, Susan met the love of her life, Jim Sanchez, on an AOL chat room site. After months and months of over-the-top phone bills, Jim sent her a round-trip plane ticket to Los Angeles, where they finally met for the first time. Jim and Susan fell in love immediately and within days of meeting, Jim proposed and Susan accepted. They were married and had their first and only daughter, Jordin Taylin Sanchez, on Dec. 17, 1997. It was then that Jim and Susan decided to move back to Maine to raise their daughter. The bought land in Lincolnville and had their home built on the property. They were starting a new life as a family. Susan loved being a mother and was very happy. She always had a quick wit and a beautiful smile to accompany her gorgeous red hair. Susan was compassionate, goofy, caring, funny, energetic and cared about solving problems. Camden National Bank hired her as a mortgage loan officer and she loved helping clients resolve mortgage problems and save their homes. The job was a perfect fit for Susan. Many of her clients often returned to thank her for being so helpful. Even when diagnosed with cancer, Susan continued her work at Camden National Bank in between her many ongoing treatments. She kept an amazing upbeat, positive attitude without missing a beat. She gave her daughter Jordin a sweet 16 party complete with a beautiful tiara, fancy dress and hip music in spite of a major snowstorm and her ill health. Her husband, Jim, who had lost his previous wife to breast cancer, helped Susan through her battle and took care of her throughout their journey together. He fondly called her 'Snickles' and the couple drew strength from one another. Jim and Jordin were there for Susan during good times and bad, as she fought for her life. Now they are trying each and every day to find a way to fill the void left behind by Susan. Her nurturing presence is missed tremendously by the both of them. Susans bravery and high spirits throughout her fight was Silver Star rating. Jim and Jordins unrelenting support are Gold Medal worthy. Susan is survived by her husband, Jim Sanchez, daughter Jordin Sanchez, and her brother David Herrick. She was predeceased by her father, Albert Herrick, mother Hildred Herrick, and little sister Julie Herrick."
