He married Phebe Sprague on November 27, 1753, in Windham, Connecticut. He then married Elizabeth Fiske and they had 12 children together. He died on July 29, 1812, in Stockbridge, Vermont, having lived a long life of 81 years.Elizabeth Fiske was born on March 6, 1736, in Windham, Connecticut. She married Joseph Durkee on November 27, 1753, in her hometown. . . . . She died on January 8, 1792, in Stockbridge, Vermont, at the age of 55."
