She was a former elementary school teacher in Juniata County; served on the former Port Royal School Board; was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, the E.L.C.A. and a Sunday school teacher; was chairman of the Lutheran Church food stand at the annual Juniata County Fairfor 15 years; and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mifflin Chapter 260 and the Port Royal Literary Guild. She was the widow of Joseph P. Frankhouse . Surviving are a son, Marlin B. Frankhouse of East Berlin; a daughter, Nedra J. Lewis of Hermitage; and two grandchildren."

Martha Margaretha _____ (b. 1656 in Gutenberg, d. there 7 June 1734, m. there in 1684) and that Johann is son of Johannes Haupt (b. in 1629 in Windersheim, d. 31 Jan 1720 in Windersheim, m. ca 1652 in Windersheim Martha Margaretha _____ who was b. 1634 there and died there 1 April 1694. Amcestry.com offers: "Haupt Name Meaning - German and Jewish (Ashkenazic): from Middle High German houbet, German Haupt head; generally, a descriptive nickname for someone with a big head, or perhaps a designation of the head of a guild or other group. It is also recorded in the Upper Rhineland as a habitational name from a house sign."
