Find A Grave Memorial 112596903 offers: "Second but eldest surviving daughter of Alan FitzRoland (Roland FitzUhtred), Lord of Galloway and his first wife, the daughter of Roger de Lacy. Granddaughter of Roland of Galloway and Eleanor/Helen de Morville, and Roger de Lacy, Constable of Chester. Helen was the first wife of Sir Roger de Quincy, 2nd Earl of Winchester, the eldest surviving son and heir to Saher de Quincy and Margaret de Beaumont. Her maritagium included the manor of Kippax, Yorkshire. They had three daughters: Margaret, wife of Sir William de Ferrers, Earl of Derby; Elizabeth, wife of Sir Alexander de Comyn, Earl of Buchan; Ellen, wife of Sir Alan la Zouche of Ashby La Zouche. Helen was alive November of 1245, and buried at Brackley. Roger would marry another two times; to Maud de Bohun and Eleanor de Ferrers."

[23666] Mark Lozer (see under Elizabeth Jewell) reports that William served in the War of 1812 and states: "During the Summer of 1836, William Jones, known as 'Long Bill', came to Dover Twp. with his family. His was the first log cabin raised in the Township. Mr. Jones sometimes preached for the Disciples with the meetings held in his cabin or at a neighbors. At these meetings of worship, the settlers talked over the different problems of the pioneer life." He also offers: "Transcribed from Guardianship Records of Wayne Co. OH, 2 entries: First entry: Wm.
