Sherman farmed in Perry Twp., Ashland Co., OH. The News Journal, 30 Oct 1949, p. 34: LOUDONVILLE - Sherman W. Heichel, 84. died Saturday afternoon at his home on Mt. Vernon avenue after a short illness. Born Sept. 23, 1865 in Ashland county, he was one of nine children of Michael and Sarah Heichel. He was a member of the Loudonville Methodist church. Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Sylvia Heichel; one daughter, Miss Adola Heichel, of Loudonville; one son, Homer, of Canton; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Query, of Mansfield; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Kathy Rinehart (jack.kath@verizon.net) offered via email 16 Jan 2005: "All I have is that Joseph McKibben was born about 1750 in Ireland as was Mary and they were married about 1775 but I don't know if the were married after they arrived in America or before they came. I found record of a Joseph McKibben in Killincare Parish, Co. Cavan Ireland who is listed in the 1796 Flax Growers List. Whether he is related, I do not know."
