[57799] Linwood's obituary: "Exeter - Linwood N. Eaton, 87, died April 29, 2009 at his Eaton Road residence. He was born May 8, 1921 in Exeter a son of Richard and Joyce (Nason) Eaton. He graduated from Corinth Academy and was a 5th generation dairy farmer. On September 22, 1945, he married Jane Lougee. He is survived by his children, Joseph and wife Sharon Eaton of Exeter, Robert and wife Claudia Eaton of Hingham, MA, Richard Eaton of Bangor, Lois Eaton and John Eaton, both of Exeter; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Pat Wilson of Millinocket. Linwood was predeceased by his wife Jane; 4 sisters, Barbara Colbath, Gwen Elliott, Virginia Winkler, and Priscilla Marden; and a brother, Philip Eaton. A graveside service will be held at the family lot, Exeter Center Cemetery."

On 10 July 1664 Peter and Joanna were taken to court for living together while unmarried. Joanna was pregnant at this time and it was believed that Peter had a wife living in Scotland. Peter claimed that the child was not his but promised to care for it, and Joanna claimed that the child was her missing husband's. The court decided otherwise and penalised Peter Ï10 or 10 lashes. In 28 November Joanna married her brother-in-law and her child was born. The child, named Elizabeth, was raised by Peter's kinsman James Grant and his wife Elizabeth Everell. The kinsman James left his foster daughter Elizabeth property in his will. Peter's will states that he has 7 children and he names them, excluding Elizabeth. Peter's son James Grant, in his will called Elizabeth his half-sister, as she would have been through their mother. Peter and Joanna had no children for a period of 6 years after their marriage and it is believed that after 6 years word came from
Scotland that Peter's wife there was dead or remarried, or that after this time Joanna's first husband could be presumed legally dead."

[57385] Merlin's obituary: "Cherryfield - Merlin Look, 69, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1938, in Addison, the son of the late Clayton and Ella (Guptill) Look. Merlin graduated from Addison High School and was a member of Narraguagus Lodge No. 88 and Eastern Harbor Grange. Merlin worked for 20 years at Cherryfield Foods as a harvester and carpenter. He was a big fan of Narraguagus High School basketball and loved to watch the New England sports teams, including the Celtics and Red Sox. Even though he lost his leg, his dream was to walk again; he managed 10 steps before he left us. He loved to work with wood, feed the birds and ducks, listen to music and dance. His fondest memories were working with the sheep on Nash Island with Jenny Cirone. He leaves behind a wife, Betty (Willey) Look, of Cherryfield; his children Charles Clayton Look and his wife, Vicki, of Augusta, Terry Robitaille and her husband, Mike, of Cherryfield, Cheryl McDowell of Arizona, Nancy Tucker of Hancock, Vicky Dauphine and her husband, Jeff, of Bangor and Leroy Tucker and his wife Alice, of Cherryfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Ouellette and her husband, Al, and Laura Merrill and her husband, Clyde, all of Milbridge; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and a special friend, Frank "Bubba" Dow and his wife, Delia."
