He then graduated from Maine Vocational-Technical Institute as a machinist and worked for Portland Copper and later for Rich Tool and Die. Dick married Edith Cousins of South Portland in 1955. They began their married life in South Portland, and later moved to Gorham, where they raised their six children."

She was predeceased by her parents, husband and brothers, Gilbert and Eugene. [32909] Lykens Register, 22 September 1944, p. 4: Francis L. Williard, 68, a retired farmer, died at his home in Valley View. Monday. Mr. Williard was a native of Gratz, a son of George and Amanda Miller) Williard. His wife, who was formerly Miss Sara Troutman, preceded him in death a year ago. Survivors are a daughter, Effie at home, one son, Irwin Williard of Hershey; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Barrett, of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Brady Klinger, of Williamstown, and one brother, Wellington Williard, of Williamstown. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Francis r. Lykens in the 1880 census, then in Little Mahanoy, Washington Twp., Northumberland Co., PA in 1900 and 1910, and in the 1930 census r. Hegins, Schuylkill Co., PA.
