[1576] In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/SAXONY.htm offers: "The Annalista Saxo names (in order) 'Bennonis ducis, qui et Bernhardus et Liudigeri comitis et Machtildis comitisse' as brothers and sister of 'domna Suanehildis [filia] Herimanni ducis de Liuniburh'. He succeeded as Bernhard I Herzog in Sachsen. Adam of Bremen names 'dux Benno et Sigafridus marchio' when recording their victory against the Vikings at Stade. The passage is undated but adjacent paragraphs suggest that it relates to an incident in the late 908s/early 990s. The necrology of Fulda records the death in 1011 of 'Berinhart dux'. The necrology of Lüneburg records the death '9 Feb' of 'Bernhardus dux'. The 'Vita Meinwerci' records the death 'Id Feb' of 'Bernhardus dux Saxonicus, filius Herimanni ducis'. - m ([990]) Hildegarde von Stade, daughter of Heinrich I 'dem Kahlen' Graf von Stade [Nordmark] & his second wife Hildegard [von Reinhausen] ([974/77]-3 Oct 1011, bur Lüneburg St Michaelis). The primary source which confirms Hildegarde's parentage and her marriage has not so far been identified. The necrology of Lüneburg records the death '3 Oct' of 'Hildegarth ducissa'." "When Henry II was chosen German king in 1002 he met the Saxons at Merseburg, and on promising to observe their laws Bernard gave him the sacred lance, thus entrusting Saxony to his care." {-Encycl.Brit.,`56,20:33}
[39343] This person is from the unverified Walker13 tree in Ancestry.com in 2015. Ancestry.com offers: "Stone Name Meaning - English: from Old English stan 'stone', in any of several uses. It is most commonly a topographic name, for someone who lived either on stony ground or by a notable outcrop of rock or a stone boundary-marker or monument, but it is also found as a metonymic occupational name for someone who worked in stone, a mason or stonecutter. There are various places in southern and western England named with this word, for example in Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Somerset, Staffordshire, and Worcestershire, and the surname may also be a habitational name from any of these."

[21334] Robert m. (1) Eliza Condon and had one son, Timothy, who was a blacksmith. Robert m. (2) Polly Snow Parker and with her had eight sons and two daughters. "Maritime History of Brooksville," LeCain W. Smith (Brooksville, ME Historical Society, 2005), p. 79 states "He was a self-educated ship's caulker who became a master mariner. In his younger days he and his brother Job worked hard at a Castine shipyard. They would row the two miles to and from Home across the Bagaduce no matter what the weather. He first married Eliza Condon and had a son Timothy. In 1820 he married Polly Snow Parker and they had eight sons, all but one of whom followed the sea and became captains." His sons and their maritime careers are documented in Smith's book. For his maritime history also see "Maritime History of Brooksville," Capt. LeCain W. Smith (Brooksville Historical Society, 2005), p. 79.
