[3003] Alan B. Wilson offered on an Internet discussion board: "Cyril Hart in 'William Malet and his family', Anglo-Norman Studies, xix, 1996, pp. 123-165, says William Malet's wife is Esilia, daughter of Gilbert Crispin I of Tillieres. This agrees with the information in M. Jackson Crispin and Leonce Macary, 'Falaise Roll', Table XIII and in several places in the text (e.g., pp. 28, 43, 128, 158). One clear contradiction between these two sources is that Hart lists Baldric, the Teuton, as the father of Gilbert Crispin I, whereas Crispin & Macary in several places and consistently indicate that Baldric is the father of Gunnor, Gilbert's wife." "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 142, states she is "a great-great-granddaughter of Rollo the Dane, progenitor of the Dukes of Normandy; she was living in 1086."
