[12087] His parentage is in doubt - "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 15, states he is son of William Fitz Geoffrey de Beauchamp (b. ca. 1158, d. by 1221) and his wife Olive Beauchamp. William held the barony of Bedford, Bedfordshire, and was Baron of the Exchequer, Sheriff of Bedford and Bucks, and perhaps is son of Simon de Beauchamp (dead by 1206/7) by his wife Isabella. For proposed ancestry, see http://www.geneajourney.com/bchmp1.html. The Banks/Dean Genealogy (http://gordonbanks.com/gordon/family/2nd_Site/geb-p/p65.htm) states that William "married first Gunnor de Lanvalay before 1207" - "He took part in King John's expedition to Poitou in 1214" - "He held the title of Baron of the Exchequer, Hereditary Grand Almoner, Sheriff of Bedford and Buckshire." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_de_Beauchamp_ (1185),
[15805] Surname also seen Dore. He is said to be son of Richard Dore (b. 1645 in Portsmouth, NH, d. 16 Feb 1716 there) and Tamsen Jackson (b. 1648 in Portsmouth, NH, d. 1718 in NH, daughter of John Jackson [b. 26 Dec 1608, d. 6 Dec 1666 in Portsmouth, NH] and wife Joane Lurfete [b. 1612 in Dartmouth, Devonshire, England, d. 15 March 1680 in Portsmouth, NH]).

[23863] In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/HUNGARY.htm#_TAKSONY_955-970 offers: "Taksony, son of Zoltán Prince of Hungary & his wife --- (-[970/72]). The Gestis Hungarorum Liber records the birth of 'dux Zulta…filium…Tocsun' in 931. He allied the Magyars with the Pechenegs [Kumans], to whom he gave land around the River Tisza, in order to strengthen his armed forces and secure the defences of his western border. Liutprand records "Taxis Hungariorum rex" invading Italy with his army. The Magyars were defeated in battle by Otto I King of Germany at Augsburg in 955. The Gesta Hungarorum names 'Tocsun' as leader of a Hungarian raid into Greece and Bulgaria, recorded after its report of the defeat at Augsburg, but states that this was their last raid 'while living as pagans'. From about this time, he was accepted as Taksony Prince of Hungary. m (947) ---, from the Kumans. The Gestis Hungarorum Liber records that 'dux Zulta' arranged the marriage of his son 'Tocsun' with 'uxorem de terra Cumanorum'. In allying himself with the Pechenegs, Prince Taksony brought back a wife for himself from their land."
