[3182] http://www.packrat-pro.com/bin.htm (not verified) reports: "Due to his father's acts, Roger was the companion of the Conqueror, who for his services at Senlac received large grants of land in the counties of Essex and Suffolk, six lordships in the former and one hundred and seventeen in the latter. Roger was one of the privy councillors and treasurer of the Duke, was seneschal or steward to Henry I, after the decease of his father, and that both William and Hugh, his sons, succeeded each other in that high office. Whether father or son, we are told that "he had a large troop, and was a noble vassal. He was small of body, but very brave and daring, and assaulted the English with his mace gallantly." (Roman de Rou, I. 13, 682-87.)" [31812] The unverified Price Family Tree states John m. in 1855 Maria ("Mary") Regina Baisch (1829-1904) and that John (son of Johannes Bubeck, b. 1811 in Germany, d. 21 July 1891 in Germany) arrived in America in 1857. This line may need further research. "The Greenville Journal [Greenville, Ohio], 8 February 1917," p. 1: "Another old land-mark has been removed by the death of John F. Bubeck, who resided in our village for the last years of his life and for many more years nearby. He died Saturday night, after suffering for years from a complication of diseases incident to old age, the last of which was paralysis. He was aged above 84 years, and leaves surviving him a numerous posterity of children and grandchildren. Funeral tomorrow afternoon at his late residence, with interment in Oakland cemetery."

[23268] See http://www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/continent/bb/burgundy3.htm which titles her Jeanne I, Countess Palatine of Burgundy. http://www.guide2womenleaders.com offers: "In Artois, she was known as Jeanne II. Succeeded Robert and married to King Philippe V of France, who succeeded to the throne in 1316, after having acted as regent for his late brother's posthumously born son, Jean I, who died after a few months. In 1314 she became involved in a scandal conserning various sexual excesses together with her sister Blanche and sister-in-law Marguerite (The Scandal de Tour de Nesle) and fell from grace and internated in the Castle de Dourdan, but released soon after on the quest of her husband, who would have lost Franche-Comte which was part of her dowry if they had divorced. Her husband died in 1322 and was succeeded by his younger brother as King. She suceeded both her father, Otto I of Bourgogne and mother, Mahaut d'Artois and was succeeded by the oldest of her five daughters, Jeanne II and III in all her possessions. She died of the plague . . . ."

[49684] See the unverified file L2N4-Q2K in familysearch.org. https://accessgenealogy.com/maine/settlers-narraguagus-valley.htm offers: "Steuben was formerly township 'No. 4, East of Union River,' and No. 5 comprised the territory now included in the towns of Milbridge and Harrington. The town of Cherryfield is composed of No. 11, Middle Division, Brigham Purchase, and of the northeastern part of what was formerly Steuben. All that part of Cherryfield lying south of the mills on the first or lower dam was, prior to 1826, a part of Steuben, and was called Narraguagus to distinguish it from the settlement in the southwestern part, which was called 'Head of the Bay,' and the post office at Cherryfield was called 'Narraguagus' until within some twenty-five years past. What is now the flourishing town of Milbridge was a part of Harrington until 1848. Harrington (No. 5) was incorporated as a town in 1791, Steuben (No. 4) in 1795, Cherryfield (No. 11) in 181G, and the northeast part of Steuben was annexed to Cherryfield in 1826."
