[40064] The unverified Lawson Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2015 offers: "When Michael Luther Hetsler was born on January 1, 1839, in Ashland, Ohio, his father, Frederick, was 34 and his mother, Catharine, was 36. He married Anna Plank on January 14, 1858, in his hometown. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on August 25, 1911, in Perry, Ohio, at the age of 72, and was buried in Ashland, Ohio . . . Anna Plank was born on June 21, 1839, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania . . . . She died on February 22, 1928, in Ashland, Ohio, at the age of 88, and was buried there."
http://www.wolfgangs.org offers in 2007: "Michael Wolfgang was born Stuttgart Germany about 1720. There is some mention of Gronigen, Netherlands but this may be his point of departure. Also, Stuttgart has a 'sure level' of 1 meaning that there is no proof existing for this assertion. It is used only because no other researcher has offered a viable alternative. He died before March 20, 1760 in Upper Milford Twp., Northampton (now Lehigh) Co., PA, at age 39 from disease or indian attack. By some time prior to March 20, 1760 both Michael & Charlet Wolfgang had died, either through disease or possibly Indian attack. His body was interred before March 20, 1760 in Upper Milford Twp., Bucks (now Lehigh) Co., PA. Michael and Charlet were buried somewhere on their farm. He married Charlotte (Charlet) Margretta Kopp about 1747 in Emmaus, Northampton, PA. Charlet was born December 30, 1732 in in Sindelfingen, Wurttemburg, Germany. Charlet was the daughter of Samuel Eberhart Kopp and Anna Catherine Shiff. She died about 1760 in in Upper Milford Twp., Northampton (now Lehigh) Co., PA, at age unknown.
"Michael immigrated aboard the Ship Saint Andrew to Northampton Co. PA (now Lehigh) before October 7, 1743. He was listed on a passenger list October 7, 1743 in Port of Philadelphia. His age is given as 23 years. He could not sign his name but made a 'W' for his mark. Some people have mistaken this for his middle initial. His full name was probably Johann Michael Wolfgang like his son. He arrived on the ship St. Andrew at the port of Philadelphia in 1743.
"He bought property November 16, 1750 in Upper Milford Twp., Bucks (now Lehigh) Co., PA. On November 16, 1750, Michael Wolfgang was granted a warrant to an 'improvement' of 144 acres plus sixty-seven perches in Upper Milford Twp., Bucks (now Lehigh) Co., which was surveyed on Aug. 15, 1751. The Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike now runs along this land.
"Michael's will was probated February 15, 1762 in Upper Milford Twp., Bucks (now Lehigh) Co., PA. An inventory of the estate was filed by Sebastian Knauss and Daniel Dorney on March 28, 1760. Michael Wolfgang's farm had to be sold to pay off all his debts. Settlement of the estate was made Feb. 15, 1762 by Rudolph Kidweiler, minister and Dr. Huff for the children. The Michael Wolfgang accepted as the 'original immigrant ancestor' first shows up on the passenger list of the ship 'Saint Andrew' out of Rotterdam and Cowes under Capt. Robert Brown, arriving at the port of Philadelphia October 7, 1743. There was another Michael who arrived on the same ship 9 years earlier but his connection is not clear. Michael Wolfgang's age was listed as 23. From this we assume he was born in 1720. He signed the list with a distinctive 'W' (his mark). Some reports say he was a potter by trade. He apparently settled in Macungie Twp., Northampton (now Lehigh) County, PA. Sometime around 1747 he married Charlet Margretta Kopp. She was born December 30, 1732 in Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart, Wurttemburg, Germany and had immigrated with her parents."
