[1972] The LDS Church's unverified IGI file reports that Gerard II is son of Eberhard, Count of Lower Alsace (b. 1020). http://www.theroyfamily.com/gen/roy/p308.htm states: "Gerhard I of Egisheim was the son of Hugh VI Count of Egisheim and in the Nordgau and Hedwig von Dagsburg. Gerhard married Bertha of Burgundy, daughter of Udalrich I 'the Rich' Count of Schanis and Matilda of Burgundy.1 Gerhard I of Egisheim died in 1038. Child of Gerhard I of Egisheim and Bertha of Burgundy: Gerald I of Geneva Count of Glane (d. bt 1060 - 1080)."
