The daughter of Augustus and Emma Merritt, she was bora in Columbia and had lived here the past 33 years. Besides her husband, Merrill Willey, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Noyes Alley, Beals, Mrs. Norman Farnsworth, Unionville and Miss Minerva Willey, Mllbrldge; a sister, Mrs. Etta Tenan, Cherryfield; four brothers, George Harrington and William, Brunswick, and Leroy, Vermont; three sons, Amos Mathews, Jonesport, and James and Harry Mathews, Milbridge; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Congregational church here with Robert Haldane, Jr. of the Bangor Theological seminary officiating. Bearers were three sons Amos Mathews, Jonesport, James and Harry Matheas, Milbridge and a son-in-law, Noyce Alley, Beals. Burial was in Milbridge cemetery."
