He continued with the company until he retired. He enjoyed time with his family, camp in Molunkus, fishing, ice skating and was an avid Patriots fan. He will be missed by his wife of 67 loving years Thiry Mae (Tilton), and children David Atwood and wife Cathy of Whitefield, NH; Cathy Ames and husband Alton of Orland, Maine; Becky Ames and husband Norwood of Prospect, Maine; Lorie Darling and husband Barry of Bangor, Maine; Lynn Keisker and husband Craig of Berwick, Maine and Wendy Russell and husband Chris of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Also thirteen grand-children and 10 great-grand children and his brothers Ernest, Frederick and Wilford Atwood and sister Joan Bridges. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Ruth Hutchins, Barbara Thomas, Edith Arnold, Yvonne Downes, Shirley Grigsby and Herbert Atwood."
