Find A Grave states Charles was b. in St, Francois, Canada and is son of Philmore [Philomon] Fecteau & Amanda Grenier. The 11 April 1940 federal census in Waterville, Kennebec Co., ME lists him as a State "road patrolman" and provides his family which includes his mother, Amanda Claise (age 73, b. in Canada) and his step-father, Tom Claise (age 73, b. in ME). The 1930 federal census in Waterville lists Charles (a "patrol man)" and wife and others in the household of his mother's second husband, Thomas Clair [sic] with Amanda, Thomas' wife. Charles is listed as a Warden in 1940-1941 by Albert C. Fecteau in his M.A. thesis "Community of Waterville, Maine" in June, 1952 at the University of Maine.
