[49490] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 20 May 1933, p. 2: "Jonesport - Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the home for Mrs. Charlotte Beal aged 73, wife of Capt Beal. Mrs Beal was a native of Columbia, but has lived in Jonesport for many years leaving a large circle of friends and relatives by whom she will be greatly missed. She was a member of Rumery Chapter No. 46, O.E.S. Mrs Beal had been in failing health for a number of months. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Edna Martin of Groton, Mass., Mrs. Gertrude Calor and Mrs. Viola Leighton, both of Jonesport, and four sons, Capt. Arthur Beal of White Head, James Beal of Darien, Conn., George and Milton Beal both of Jonesport." Charlotte is daughter of David Gould (b. in 1821) & Elizabeth "Betsey" Kelley (1831-1880; m. 31 January 1853 in Harrington, Washington Co., ME).
