She was born September 14, 1884 in Penobscot, the daughter of George and Eva Sellers. She was a graduate of George Stevens Academy Blue Hill and the Castine Normal School. She taught school in Penobscot for many years. She was past matron and life member of the Penobscot Chapter No. 107 O.E.S., was past grand matron of the Grand Chapter of Maine 1919-1920. She is survived by one son, Elliott Wardwell, Penobscot; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren."
