[40404] Find A Grave Memorial 19758269 states she was "Namesake of the vessel "L.P. Foster" which, captained by Josiah Keller, took men, machinery and supplies to Puget Sound to start a lumber mill." "The Boston Globe [Boston Massachusetts], 15 January 1901," p. 6: "Newton, Jan 14 - Mrs Lavinia P. Foster, widow of Charles Foster, died last evening at the home of her son, Frederick A. Foster, on Greycliff road, Newton Center. aged 93 years 6 months. She will be remembered as one of the Globe's old people. Shortly before her 93d birthday last June she enjoyed an automobile ride, which she described for the Globe readers' benefit. Her health had been until recently excellent, and only for a short time was she unable to move about. She retained all her faculties up to within a few weeks, and always enjoyed the company of visitors. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon, at 2:30, at the family residence, 741 Greycliff road."

[43737] Find A Grave memorial 29584054 offers: "Jacob Wachtel was the son of Henry (Heinrich) Wachtel, Sr and his wife Catherine. He was the third of 12 children. His parents moved frequently, starting off in Pennsylvania, and then settling in Virginia and Ohio, before ending up in Illinois. Jacob was a farmer and located on what was known as the Ball Farm in Ohio. After making several purchases of land, he settled near Mohicanville. He married twice, first to Mary Loop in Ashland County, Ohio in 1821. They had three children - Jacob Jr. (1824 - 1850) who married Hettie Hulbert, Catherine (abt 1826 - bef 1889) who married John Maurer, and Henry (1829 - 1889) who married Mary Sarah Hulbert. Jacob's wife Mary must have died sometime in 1829. He then married Elizabeth Riddle. They had twins in 1834 - Elizabeth Ellen and John Rigdon. Jacob and his wife Elizabeth were among the founders of the Church of Christ in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio on July 26, 1835."
