[576] Robert received his father's English fiefs in 1118, becoming Earl of Leicester; was a chief advisor to King Stephen, but made his peace with Henry II and became Chief Justiciar of England. "First among the lay nobles he signed the Constitution of Clarendon, he sought to reconcile Henry and Archbishop Becket, and was twice in charge of the kingdom during the king's absences in France. He married (1) Godehilde, daughter of Raoul de Toeni II., who bore him no children, and from whom he was separated by 1090. When between fifty or sixty years of age, he married (2) Lady Elizabeth, according to Crispin and Macary, and she, being young, was won over by William de Warren II, Earl of Warren and Surrey, so that she finally deserted him. He married Ida Gottshall on December 25, 1900, in Leck Kill, Pennsylvania. They had nine children during their marriage. He died on April 12, 1961, at the age of 81." "Elizabethville Echo, 13 April 1961," p. 1: "Lewis E. Reitz of Leck Kill, died on Wednesday at the age of 81 years. Mr. Reitz who had retired a number of years ago, formerly operated a general store at Leck Kill, and had served as postmaster at that place for twenty-seven years. He was a member of St John's . Church, Leck Kill. "Shamokin News-Dispatch [Shamokin, PA], 12 April 1949," p. 2: "Mrs. Susan Hain, 54, Palmyra, sister of Mrs. John Lubnow, 943 West Walnut Street, died suddenly of a heart attack while shopping. Mrs. Hain who was known to a number of Shamokin persons, apparently was in normal health when she left home on the shopping mission. She collapsed in a store and died before medical aid arrived. Surviving Mrs. Hain are her husband, Paul J. Hain, one son, two daughters, and the sister living in Shamokin."

[40488] Find A Grave Memorial 53646502 offers: "Heinrich (Henry) Voss was born May 7, 1855 in Wallsbull, Schleswig, Germany to Hans Vohs and Anna Catherina Nickelson. He married Antoinette (Minnie) Walters who was born February 25, 1860 in Germany. After coming to the United States they settled in Avoca, Iowa. Children born to Henry and Minnie were Emma Bertha, born June 2, 1879; Martha Ann born September 5, 1881; Antoinette Minnie born May 3, 1883; Alma born December 6, 1884; Hertha born November 10, 1886, Henry (Heinie) William June 21, 1888 and Margaret (birthdate unknown). In the early 1900s some of the Voss family homesteaded in Canada near the present town of Marsden. Some of them remained in Canada all their lives. Henry passed away Nov. 8, 1887 in Avoca, Iowa at the age of 32; and Minnie later married Henry Study. She passed away August 3, 1908. Both are buried in the Avoca, Iowa cemetery. Henry's information was obtained from family members, German records, and his death certificate. It is submitted by his great-granddaughter, Betty Alberts."
