Reitz, of Leck Kill, Pa., died in the Pottsville Hospital, December 26, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Reitz was the daughter of the late John and Louise Haupt Gottshall of West Cameron. Surviving are her husband, five sons, one of whom is Dr. M. L. Reitz of Tower City, and four daughters, 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother also survive. Funeral services were held from the Lawrence Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, on Sunday afternoon, with further services in St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, pastor Wm. Marburger officiating. Mrs. Reitz was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church and its Women's Missionary Society. Burial was in the church cemetery."

As Roger had been holding them for three-quarters of a year at Michaelmas 1182, Morris dates the marriage to around Christmas 1181 [citing Rotuli Hundredorum, vol. 1, pp. 504, 537; Pipe Roll 23 Henry II, pp. 125, 137; Pipe Roll 24 Henry II, pp. 26-7; Pipe Roll 28 Henry II, p. 64]." "The Liber Vitæ of Durham, f. 63d, lists the children of Roger and Ida as Hugh, William, Roger, John, Ralph, Mary, Margaret and Ida [Surtees Society, vol. 136 (1923)]."

Wurts, Magna Charta (Philadelphia: Brookfield Publishing Company, 1954): ROGER BIGOD, the Surety, b. abt 1150, who succeeded as second Earl of Norfolk and Suffolk. He was appointed in 1189, by King Richard, one of the ambassadors to Philip of France, for obtaining aid for the recovery of the Holy Land. In 1191, he was keeper of H ereford Castle. He was Chief Judge in the King's Ct from 1195 to 1202. In 1200 he was sent by King John as one of his messengers to summon William the Lion, King of Scotland, to do homage to him in the parliament which was held at Lincoln, and subsequently attended King Jphn into Poitou, but on his return he was won over to their cause by the rebel Barons and became one of the strongest advocates of the Charter of Liberty, for which he was excomm by Pope Innocent III. After coming to the United States they settled in Avoca, Iowa. Children born to Henry and Minnie were Emma Bertha, born June 2, 1879; Martha Ann born September 5, 1881; Antoinette Minnie born May 3, 1883; Alma born December 6, 1884; Hertha born November 10, 1886 and Henry (Heinie) William June 21, 1888. In the early 1900s some of the Voss family homesteaded in Canada near the present town of Marsden. Some of them remained in Canada all their lives. Henry passed away Nov. 8, 1887 in Avoca, Iowa at the age of 32; and Minnie later married a Mr. Study. She passed away August 3, 1908. Both are buried in the Avoca, Iowa cemetery. Information was obtained from family members, family biographies, marriage, death certificates and cemetery records."
