His descendants conquered most of Ireland, and the branches of the house are so numerous that 40 coats of arms are recorded (- "Falaise Roll," p, 23). He may be brother rather than father of Hugh. "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 118 reports that he "was of record from 1133 and dead in 1163. He married Agnes. He fought with his kinsman Geoffrey Talbot in 1138."
