She was born Oct. 28, 1958, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Allen S. and Patricia L. (Campbell) Dunbar. Debra was a graduate of Sumner Memorial High School, Class of 1977, and from Husson College, Class of 1979 with an associate's degree as medical secretary. She was employed by the Town of Sullivan for 15 years, serving as deputy town clerk, tax collector, and treasurer. In addition to her mother, Debra is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jerome T. Briggs; two daughters, Erika Briggs and Courtney-Leanne Briggs, all of Sullivan; two sisters, Lynn Murphy and her husband, James, and Dawn Doughty and her husband, Tim, all of Sullivan; a niece, Whitney Doughty; and a nephew, Allen Doughty; two stepdaughters, Alisson Lewis of North Carolina and Kristy Whittelsey of New Mexico; her father and mother-in-law, Earl and Morna Briggs of Corea; a sister-in-law, Brenice Briggs of Gouldsboro; a brother-in-law, Terry Briggs of Boston, Massachusetts; two special uncles, Courtney Campbell and Phillip Dunbar, both of Sullivan; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her many friends. She will also be missed by her canine friends, Tonka and Sophie. Additionally, Debra will be remembered by her special friends, Phyllis and Walter Moore."

He was a business and civic leader in Winterport and a descendant of one of New England's oldest families. A native of Winterport he was the president of Perry's Inc., a chain of retail stores in Maine and New Hampshire. In recent years, he had entered his business interests in the management of the Treat Agency, an insurance and real estate enterprise doing business in Eastern Maine He was the son of the late Joshua and Annie Treat of Winterport. He was a great-great-grandson of Lt. Joshua Treat I,I the first settler in the Penobscot Bay Region. Another ancestor was Robert Treat, Colonial governor of Connecticut for 40 years. Mr. Treat's grandfather, Col. William Treat, operated Treat and Company, famous shipbuilders of the 19th century, with yards in Winterport and Frankfort. Active in the town businss affairs for more than 50 years, he formerly operated a men's clothing store, later merged with a department store bearing his name. For many years he was the owner of the Winterport Manufacturing Company, manufacturers of men's shirts. He was a trustee of the Winterport Methodist Church and an active member of the Lions Club and other local organizations. He was a charter member of Howard lodge No. 69, F.A. and M.; and of Garfield Lodge of Odd Fellows. He was presented with 50-year membership medals in both organizations in recent years. He was the father of New Hampshire Republican State Chairman, Judge William W. Treat. He leaves his wife, Clara (Atwood) Treat; two sons, Judge William W. Treat of Hampton, N. H., and Joshua Treat III of Belfast; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Clark, Jr., of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth T. Nash ol Winterport, and seven grandchildren."

Weymouth's information does not include children by Mark Haskell but shows Hannah's parents as William Woodbury. b. 1589, So Petherton, Somersetshire, , d. 29 Jan 1677, Beverly, MA) and Elisabeth Patch (d. 29 Nov 1676, Beverly, MA, daughter of Nicholas Patch and Jane _____). Weymouth also states "It is supposed that William came to America with his brother John on the second voyage to the New World in 1628. William 'was the first settler on the Beverly side, having built in 1630 near what is now called Woodbury's point. (ie: Lynch Park - Beverly, MA.) He joined the church in 1639 and was admitted Freeman 2 Jun 1641. His wife joined the church in 1640. His will was dated 1 Apr 1663 and proved 26 Apr 1677.'"
