[27214] http://www.chadbourne.org/Gen4.htm states that Tabitha "died presumably before her husband's third marriage circa 1710; married as his second wife 10 Feb 1700 Rowland Jenkins, a fisherman of Dover. He had married first Experience Heard and married third before July 1710 Mary Morgrage (LND, 377). Rowland and Mary are thoroughly documented in MPC V:149-154 for a variety of trespasses, including stealing. The presentation of this family by Stackpole in his 'Old Kittery' is seriously flawed."

[3065] There was a monument in the Hillmorton Church with the inscription: "Here lyeth Thomas Perkins and Alice and Elizabeth. Our Lord save their soules from everlasting death. Amen." Hillmorton is about 15 miles from Northampton and 2 miles east of Rugby. Thomas' will dated 3 April 1528 was proved at Litchfield 21 April 1528. {"Genealogical and Family History of the State of Maine," Lewis Historical Pub. Co., 1909, Vol. 2, pp. 508-09, gives a tentative line of descent from Pierre de Morlaix alias Perkins, living in 1380, high steward of the estates of Hugh Despencer, through Henry, John, William, Thomas, whose wife was Ellen Tompkins of Herefordshire, James of Shropshire, Thomas of Hillmorton (ID3301) who married Alice Kebble [sic]; this line is repeated in Burke's "American Families," London, 1939, p. 2863. Note: This ancestry for Thomas is NOT VERIFIED!} There are Perkins family Internet Web sites at http://users.powernet.co.uk/perkins/perkinsindex.html and at http://rasreth.com/genealogy/gp300.html. http://www.maslandtech.com/familytree/np410.htm offers: "The Perkins name is easily made out from the first Pierre, whose children would be Pierre's kins, afterward Pierrekins, and finally as now, Perkins. The name is now spelled in a variety of ways as Parkins, Parkyns, Perk ings, and Perkins."
