An unverified file in Ancestry.com in 2009 states Adam is son of William Burgh (b. 1295 in Snosall, Staffordshire, d. 1334 in Crowley, Staffordshire), son of WIlliam de Burgh (b. 1265 in Connaugh, Ireland, d. 29 July 1326 in Gnosall) and his wife Margaret de Guines (b. 1264 in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, d. 1304).

Maria married Charles Henry Grindle on 20 April 1898, Vinalhaven, married by Rev Herman J Wells. Charles was b 9 June 1865, Blue Hill, Me, the s/o Frederick Groves Grindle & Maria Louise Littlefield. Charles died 1924, Vinalhaven. Maria & Charles had one son, Frederick Bruce Grindle, b 15 Jan 1899, Vinalhaven - 28 Dec 1992, Vinalhaven. In 1910, 44-year-old Charles, 36-year-old Maria and 11-year-old son F Bruce are residing on Summer Street, Vinalhaven where he is working as a stonecutter. In 1920, 53-year-old Charles and 46-year-old wife Montelieu M are on Lakeview Street on Vinalhaven where he is working as a granite stone cutter. With them is 20-year-old son, Bruce F. Charles and Maria are buried next to his brother (?) Fred A Grindle and his wife."
