[56571] "The Bangor Daily News [ BVangor, Maine], 3 March 2023: "Old Town - Wesley M. Moulton, 96, of Old Town, Maine passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023. Wesley, known as Wes, was born to Orlando (Jack) M. Moulton and Sadie Carr, on February 16, 1927, in Washington Township, Maine. As a young man, he served in the United States Army. He was a World War II Veteran stationed in Japan. Upon returning home he obtained the occupation and trade of becoming a grade and a blast foreman in construction work. His occupation allowed him to help build roads in Connecticut, Maine, and New York. He ended his career working as a Forman for the City Of Bangor. In his free time, as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, Wes became interested in doing family history research. For many years he helped others with their family history when he was given the opportunity and privilege of helping to organize and establish the Bangor Family History Center located at 639 Grandview Ave, Bangor, Maine. In addition he organized bus trips for church members to attend the Washington, D.C. Temple. He had many church callings and assignments given to him throughout his lifetime. Wes is survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Roberta (Holmes) Moulton; two daughters, Judy Ann (Moulton) Moores, and Julie Anna (Moulton) DeGrasse and her husband, Everett. He was predeceased by his parents, Orlando (Jack) and Sadie; his two brothers, Lionel J. Moulton and Francis O. Moulton; and two sisters, Marguerite M. (Moulton) Mathes and Patricia A. (Moulton) Rossignol; and a son-in-law, William Moores. Wes loved his family and his grandchildren, Nathan W. Moores and wife, Vicky, of Ewa, Hawaii, Rick A. DeGrasse and wife, Earleen, of Greenbush, ME, Carrie A. Moores LaFlamme and husband, Steve, Hermon, ME, Kirk D. DeGrasse and wife, Stephanie, Greenbush, ME, Brett E. DeGrasse and wife, Julie, Pittsfield, ME, Christopher B. DeGrasse and wife, Hillary, Parsonsfield, ME; his great-grandchildren, William, Taylor, Scarlet, Grace, Ash, Hayden, Amiee, Ripley, Brawley, Lily, Wyatt, Squire, Cade, Brix, Jace, and Axel."

"The Perry County Democrat, 12 February 1936," p. 3: "George Ickes Rice, probably the eldest person in Perry county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David W. Sheaffer, in Ickesburg, on Saturday evening at 9 o clock The end of his long life came suddenly and peacefully. He would have been 95 years old on the 7th of March. Mr. Rice was the eighth and youngest son of George and Magdalena (Ickes) Rice and was born in 1841. He was the father of nine children, most of whom are living. He was a member of one of the pioneer families of Perry county and was a highly respected citizen. He was elected a Director of the Poor in 1900."

Mrs. Linda Ellen Foster, well-known Chico woman and a resident of Butte County for 76 years, died this morning after a lengthy illness. "She was born Oct 2, 1878, at Fort Bragg to Benjamin and Annie Rucker who became early day-settlers in Chico. Her family moved to Artois, Glenn County, when she was a year old and to Chico when she was nine. Her schooling was in Chico and on March 31, 1895, she was married to Robert M. Foster in Paradise who died in 1932, at which time she came to Chico to live with her daughter, the late Ione Ferguson. Her husband was a stock farmer and they had their home about seven miles east of Durham and maintained a summer home at Stirling City for many years. Mrs. Foster was for many years a member of Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was a 45-year member of Beulah Rebekah Lodge No. 60 of Chico. She was a past noble grand, past district deputy, and a past president of Veteran Rebeckahs. She was born Oct 2, 1878, at Fort Bragg to Benjamin and Annie Rucker who became early day-settlers in Chico. Her family moved to Artois, Glenn County, when she was a year old and to Chico when she was nine. Her schooling was in Chico and on March 31, 1895, she was married to Robert M. Foster in Paradise who died in 1932, at which time she came to Chico to live with her daughter, the late Ione Ferguson. Her husband was a stock farmer and they had their home about seven miles east of Durham and maintained a summer home at Stirling City for many years. Mrs. Foster was for many years a member of Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was a 45-year member of Beulah Rebekah Lodge No. 60 of Chico. She was a past noble grand, past district deputy, and a past president of Veteran Rebeckahs. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Irene Harris and Mrs. Leta Hicks of Chico, and Mrs. Eva Bennett of Oregon; a brother, Allen Rucker of Chico; a grandson Robert Foster of Pentz, and a great granddaughter."

She married Robert Mowe Foster on 30 March 1895, in Butte, California, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. She lived in Kimshew Judicial Township, Butte, California, United States in 1900 and Chico, Butte, California, United States for about 10 years. She died on 14 January 1968, at the age of 89, and was buried in Chico, Butte, California, United States."
