[46752] "The Dallas Morning News, 28 May 2011": "Lorena (Sister) Frances Kee Smith Bubeck passed away on May 25, 2011 at the age of 89 years. She was born on September 17, 1921 into the farming family of James Noland and Bessie Kee in Olney, Texas, and was one of 10 siblings. She was educated at Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, and Richland College in Richardson, Texas. As a young girl, she was an avid horse rider - her favorite was 'Old Dan' an Appaloosa. She also disliked picking cotton during the harvest season on the family farm in the valleys of the Brazos River. She resided in Houston, Texas 27 years, and in Garland, Texas for 41 years. She was active in the deaf community. She was past president of the now defunct Dal-Tar Deaf Lioness Club and active in the Dallas Association for the Deaf and North Texas Deaf Senior Citizens. She belonged to, and was active in, several organizations of, by, and for the Deaf. Ms. Bubeck was also active in the search for family roots with her late sister, Bonnie Lee Kee Vaughan of Houston, Texas, and later Atlanta, GA. On her father's side, John E. Key and family migrated from Sethington, Yorkshire, England to colonial Virginia in 1670's. They had a plantation near Charlottesville, VA - a building called Key West still remains. The Keys/Kees branched out to North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. Several Keys/Kees fought for the Confederacy. On their mother's side, a Captain Childers was an Indian fighter in the Blackhawk wars and then moved to Texas. He answered General Sam Houston's call to arms for the independence of Texas, and was enroute to join the Texian Army when the Battle of San Jacinto was won. She traveled extensively with her husband, Allan, to 48 states, Canada, Mexico, visiting historic and famous sites, several colleges/schools/programs for the deaf and family roots. Ms. Bubeck was predeceased in death by her parents, Jim & Bessie Kee, sisters: Bonnie Vaughan, Betty Clinton, Alene Blagg; and brothers: J.B. Kee, Jeff Kee, and Billy Kee. A 19-year cancer survivor, Ms. Bubeck is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Allan F. Bubeck, Jr., her beloved miniature dachshunds: Cinna, Hedy, Blackie, & Tawny; 2 children: daughter, Judy Smith Robertson Roe, and son, Mark Allen Smith and partner Teresa Prazuck; 3 grandchildren: Traci Lynette Robertson Martin and husband, Stan, Chad Ashley Robertson and wife, Amanda, and Kelly Amber Roe Sweeten and husband Ronnie; 6 great-grandchildren: Ashley Marie Roe, Miranda Kay Robertson, Jordan Tyler Moran, Taylor Alexxis Moran, Kyle Edward Robertson, and Justin Franklin Robertson; 1 sister, Jimmie Cope and husband Grady; 2 brothers, Glenn Kee and wife Mary, and Charles Kee and wife Hilda; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who mourn her loss."

Thomas m. Mary _____ (1730-1770).
A note in Ancestry.com in 20132 offers: "Thomas B.5 Swearingen (John4, Thomas3 Vansweringen, Garrett2, David Janse1 Swieringh) was born September 23, 1728 in Montgomery County, Md., and died October 15, 1794 in Montgomery Co., Md.. He married (2) Ruth Beall 1750.
Notes for Thomas B. Swearingen: Thomas B. Swearingen's birth is recorded in Episcopal Church Records in Queen Anne Parish (which is now Prince George Co. He is listed as son of John and Mary. It is not certain that he has the initial "B" in his name. Some researchers have so stated.
Prince George's Episcopal Church records, which included a chapel in what is now Montgomery County, lists the following:
Mary Swearingen, b. 19 August, 1760, daughter of Thomas and Ruth
Abed (Obed) Swearingen, b. 28 May, 1762, son of Thomas and Ruth
Samuel Swearingen, b. 22 November, 1765, son of Thomas and Ruth
On June 1, 1775, Thomas Swearingen purchased 103 acres of the tract Trouble Enough, from Alexander Beall, for 20 pounds. FC Deeds BD#2 f.5
In 1778 Thomas Swearingen, planter, purchased from William Baker, doctor, 79 acres of Amelias Dislike (Millys), for 395 pounds. MC Deeds A. f158.
in 1779 William Baker executed a deed conveying to Thomas, part of Millys Dislike and part of the adjoining Resurvey on Batchelors Forest, totaling 569 acres, for 5000 pounds. MC Deeds A. f. 430. This is an incredibly large sum of money for that time.
MC Deeds Book A. f. 530: Dated July 17, 1780: Thomas Swearingen, planter, bought 230 acres of Bradfords Rest "beginning at a bounded hickory standing on the east side of Rock Creek and in the lines of a parcel formerly leased out of Bradfords Rest unto maurice Fitzgerald and running thence up the creek." He paid 1000 pounds.
In 1789, Thomas bought five lots, totaling 907 and 1/2 acres, from George Plater of St. Marys County for 10 pounds. They were part of Bradfords Rest, Lott #1 containing 396 acres; Lotts#4, 6, and 8, 365 and 1/2 acres; and Lott#12, 146 acres. The descriptions of the lots mentioned adjoining lots, leased to Nicholas Baker, to Samuel Glaze, to Barbary Williams, and to Thomas Swearingen.
Aaron Prather, Sr. executed a deed on March 155, 11793, conveying to Thomas Swearingen, for 150 pounds, 73 acres of Resurvey on Plain Dealing, together with houses, out houses, orchards, woods, underwoods, pastures, waterways and so on. This is most probably the same Aaron Prather married to Thomas' daughter, Mary Swearingen.
The 1777 Montgomery County tax list showed Thomas Swearingen at Rock Creek Hundred with 7 taxables.
The 1790 Montgomery Ciunty Census lists Thomas Swearingen with 2 males 16 years and over, 3 males under 16 years, 6 females, and 21 slaves.
