For the past two years she has resided in Allentown. Mrs. Steinmetz was a daughter of the late Philip Breiner and was born on what is now the David Keck farm in North Whitehall Township. She is survived by an only son, W. E. Steinmetz of this city, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held at noon from her late home, with services and burial at Miller's Church."

Motter, Esq. of this place (New Bloomfield), passed away at her home on South Carlisle Street Thursday, July 25th at 4:40 p.m., after lying in an unconscious condition for a week from the effects of a stroke. Mrs. Motter had been ailing for several years past having sustained a previious stroke about a year ago. Harriett Belle Eberly was a daughter of John E. and Kate S. Eberly and was born in this place, October 15, 1873, and at the time of her death was an aged 54 years, 9 months, and 10 days. On September 4, 1894 she was married to Attorney John C. Motter, at Camden, New Jersey, by Rev. Clarence M. Binder. Mrs. Motter was a kind woman and good neighbor and took great interest in her home. She was a deovted christian woman andher loss will be keenly felt in the home, the church, and the community where she spent virtually all her life. The family have our sincere sympathy in this dark hour of their lives, as they have lost an affectionate and thoughtful wife and mother. She was a life long member of the Lutheran Church and was faithful until the end.
Beside her husband, John C. Motter, three daughters survive, namely; Harriett, (Mrs. Duke P. Clouser), Sue Catharine Motter, and Sarah L. Motter, all of this place; one brother, Harry C. Eberly, of Greensburg, Pa.; a step-brother, Edward L. Heston of Pittsburgh, and a step-sister, Miss Lillian Heston, of this place, also survive. Mrs. Motter's father died December 21, 1876, and her mother January 29, 1927."

[58054] Terry's obituary: "Bucksport - Terry L. Foster, 81 passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday August 18, 2024. He was born on October 11, 1942, the son of George W. and Evelyn (Sprague) Foster. Terry grew up in Woodland (Baileyville) and was a graduate of Woodland High School class of 1960. He married his high school sweetheart Sandra Gaddis in 1962. Terry earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5th year Pulp & Paper Certificate from the University of Maine in 1966. He spent the majority of his career as a project engineer at the Bucksport mill. He loved working in his vegetable garden every summer and playing horseshoes. The 25 trips up Mount Katahdin were a highlight of his hiking passion. He watched all sports, especially the Boston teams. He was a lifelong piano player and later played the steel drum as part of a local band. He read his daily paper cover to cover, never forgetting the sudoku puzzle. Terry loved riding his motorcycles, especially his trip in Colorado and rides with his wife once she got her own bike. Many happy hours were spent playing cards and games with family and friends. After retirement, they enjoyed many winters in Daytona Beach Shores. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Sandra being married almost 62 years; his daughter Krista Ottman and husband Dan of Morrill, ME, son Kurt Foster and wife Donna of Fairfield, ME. Grandchildren: Meaghan Foster and husband Lucas Cortes of Cambridge, England, Taylor Ottman and wife Natalie of West Gardiner, ME, Kaylen Ottman of Augusta, ME, and Brett Foster of Manchester, NH. Sisters: Marie Neale and husband Ken of Topsham, ME, Barbie McLaughlin and husband Tom of Baileyville, ME. Sister-in-law Sue Hood and husband Steve of Port Orange, FL. Terry is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, cousins and special person Sam Thompson. In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his brother George N. Foster and his wife Mary, sister-in-law Laraine Knowles and her husband Phil. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday August 28, 2024, 11 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery, 1060 River Road, Bucksport."

Lucy was born August 25, 1934, the daughter of Jasper and Elizabeth (McKillop) Haynes. Lucy grew up at Buckhorn Camps on Middle Jo Mary Lake. She went to school in Millinocket, and graduated from Stearns High School in the class of 1953. She went on to earn a BS in education from the Farmington State Teachers College in 1957, teaching in Carthage after graduating. Afterwards she traveled the world raising her family and teaching for the Department of Defense Education Activity Schools in Germany, Japan and Korea as well as teaching GED to Marines in Okinawa, Japan. Lucy retired in 1994 and returned to Maine, with her beloved husband, Henry Carey, where they spent their time between Thomaston, and her much loved camp on Lower Wilson Pond in Greenville. Lucy was a member of the Thomaston Federated Church where she sang in the choir. She loved the outdoors, the Greenville Garden Club, The Friends of Wilson Pond, meeting people and volunteering wherever she could help. Lucy is survived by children, Bruce Wiles (Lynn Merry), Scott Wiles (Mary Ann), Alison Hamlin (Thomas), Sandra Thompson (Daniel), Michael Carey (Katherine), Patti Carey (Peg Gandy), Terry Hunt, and Stacy Burch; brother, Jasper Haynes; stepsister, Mary Holmes; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
