"The Brookville American [Brookville, PA], 1 July 1920," p. 4: "Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson, nee Bliss, who has been seriously ill for two weeks, succumbed to diseases incident to her advanced years, at her home in Falls Creek June 20, aged 77, having been born in Schuylkill county, June 17, 1843. She was married to John C. Wilson in Brookville, December 11, 1860, he dying in 1912. For many years they resided at Emerickville and later removed to the Beechwoods. Since her husband's death she had made her home in Falls Creek. Of the 12 children born to them the following survive: Elmer E. of Kingsport, Tenn.; Clarence G. of Vandergrift; George M. of Swanton, Md.; William S. of Patton; John M. of Detroit; Ida M. wife of J. M. Britton of Falls Creek; Hattie E. wife of C. E. Smith of Erie; Mrs. Grace O. Larimer of Falls Creek. She was preceded in death by three children, Alice E. Wilson, Mrs. Lauretta Richards and Mrs. Beatrice Richards. Brothers and sisters surviving are as follows: J. Z. Bliss, Thayer, Mo.; J. T. Bliss, Reynoldsville; Sebastian Bliss, Emerickville; Henry W. Bliss, Sheffield; Zoel Z. Bliss, Erie; Catherine Campbell, Reynoldsville; Mrs. Mary McElroy, Antes Fort, Pa. She was a member of the Lutheran church of Emerickville. Funeral services were held at her home in Falls Creek, June 23, conducted by Revs. Cochran and Robinson, and interment was in the Beechwoods cemetery. Surviving also are 54 grand children and 28 great grand children."

He was shot in the head during a robbery and lost his depth perception in one eye causing him to be unable to continue in his career as a jeweler. Jerry went back to college and obtained a degree and teaching credential and then began a second career as a high school teacher. Jerry was killed in a one car collision on southbound Interstate 5 in San Diego just north of the United States Border."

The one doubtful point is whether he was a son or a brother of John, whose signature stands before his."
