[42250] "The Akron Beacon Journal, 14 March 1972," p. 10: "Services and burial will be 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Masonic Home, Springfield, for former Akronite Samuel M. Carper, 89, who died Sunday at the home after a long illness. Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Akron for 60 years, most recently at 1027 Delia av., until two years ago when he moved to Sprinpfield. He was a B. F. Goodrich retiree and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 83. Mr. Carper was also a member of the Woodland United Methodist Church. He leaves daughters, Pearl Carper, Pacific Grove, Cal., and Mrs. E. R. Coate, Greenwood, Ind., and four grandchildren." His draft registration card 12 Sept 1918 states he is a rubber work at the B. F. Goodrich plant in Akron and r. 514 Lillian St., Akron, OH.
